Meet The Team

Starting in the business in late 2001 on various machinery, Jon quickly progressed to production manager in 2005 gaining a better understanding of all facets of the business. By 2011 Jon had taken on the role of General Manager gaining a more intimate understanding of pricing, human resource management and relationship management. In mid 2014 Jon became a minority shareholder whilst continuing in his role, completing the full business purchase in 2017 whilst maintaining all key staff in the change of ownership. Jon’s expertise in workflow management and a strong customer support regime has helped grow Linear into the market leader it is today. Jon continues to move between the office and the factory floor maintaining an intimate understanding of customer’s requirements and requests.

Jon enjoys sports, spending time with his young family and friends. Jon enjoys contributing to his community by volunteering in various roles such as basketball coach and football umpire.

After finishing a nursing degree in early 2000’s, Danielle quickly found herself working in one of Australia’s largest financial services companies predominantly in the product and process improvement space. After 15 years in the business and three children, Danielle moved out of this role into the role of office/ accounts manager at Linear Metal Polishing. Danielle’s role involves not only managing accounts, but also liaising with customers and management to ensure the high level of service that Linear is known for. In her spare time, Danielle enjoys spending time with her family and volunteering in various roles in the community.

Chas has a wealth of knowledge about all things metal polishing, having commenced in the family metal finishing and manufacturing business at age 17 in 1972, learning all facets of the industry from the ground up. Upon retirement of his father Ted in 1985, Chas took up the role of general manager, overseeing a workforce of over 60 employees and dealing with the major automotive manufacturers. He also contributed to the industry body, the Electroplater’s Association of Victoria, and sat as president for 2 years.

As the demand for chrome plated metal car accessories waned in the early ‘90s, an opportunity to provide polishing services to the transport trailer industry presented itself, and the decision was made to design a purpose built polishing line for aluminium transport extrusions. Chas has been involved in the day to day operation of this new business since its inception in 1995 and, although he has handed over the reins to stepson Jon, he is still on hand on a daily basis to talk to customers about their specific needs.
